The suburban line Hamburg Kaltenkirchen (AKN Eisenbahn
AG) will be extended to a 2 track line partially built in a trough
structure. The new station Eidelstedt Centre is constructed as a subway
station.
Sellhorn provided detailed engineering and structural design for all
structures of a 2.6 km long sector including:
- 600 m long rail trough, covered by 3 bridges
- 120 m long subway railway station
- 3 road bridges with different span und widths
- railway centre above the station
- extension of railway bridge
- about 900 m long sound barriers.

In addition Sellhorn
coordinated architectural and landscape design, the planning
and installation of all technical facilities and the security devices.
The works have been completed early 2004 after 2.5 years. During
this period the railway operation and the road traffic
continued.
