Within the city limits of Berlin the Berliner Hafen-
und Lagerhausgesellschaft mbH (BEHALA) owns at two sites large areas.
These premises have been used in the past for port operation. Nowadays
they provide excellent opportunities for general logistic operation.
By structuring building and traffic zones larger areas for future utilisation
have been provided and offered to potential users. This followed a
public tender procedure. Sellhorn has undertaken the restructuring
of areas and managed the tendering process. Site specification data
and neighbouring boundary conditions have been elaborated. This includes
physical information but also logistical, legal, statutory approval
requirements, as well as options for public subsidies.
The process was supported by a Masterplan for the development of the
entire area, which provided a base for discussions with potential investors.
