The Lord Mayor of Hamburg received his counterpart, Lord Mayor Isaya Mwita, from the Tanzanian twin city in Hamburg City Hall.
After Lord Mayor Isaya Mwita had signed the Hanseatic City’s visitors’ book, both mayors signed an updated joint declaration for collaboration until 2020. Hamburg’s Lord Mayor, Olaf Scholz, emphasised that exchanges and conversations were indispensable in a globalised world, and called the partnership with Dar es Salaam “an excellent vehicle”. The twinning agreement, which has existed since 2010, has been supplemented with a climate partnership between Hamburg and Dar es Salaam since 2012. The most important fields of co-operation in this context include advising the Tanzanian port authority.
Sellhorn Africa Consulting Limited also has its head office in Dar es Salaam and is running several projects in Africa. Dipl.-Ing. Charles Bahizi (to the left of the picture) represents the subsidiary as the general manager.
