What you can expect:

As a contract manager, your main responsibility is to act as the contact person for clients and contractors regarding contract management, including:

• Creating a contract management system, reviewing contract documents, and conducting contractual correspondence
• Preparing decision templates to support the client
• Bringing about decisions of the client
• Reviewing and approving interim and final invoices
• Reviewing performance changes and managing claim procedures Other duties may include training customer employees in their responsibilities, representing the team leader/project manager on-site if necessary, assisting in the organization of project-related delegation visits, and attending project-related conferences. Start: January 2016, Duration: 2 years (optionally renewable) Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

What we expect:

Completed degree (Dipl.-Ing./Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or Master's) in civil engineering with a focus on port/water engineering or coastal engineering At least 10 years of professional experience At least 1 port/water engineering project Good knowledge of FIDIC model contracts Good language skills in German and English Good proficiency in MS Office programs and MS Project Commitment, results orientation, and communication skills Independent and customer-oriented working Team and organizational skills
